For thousands of years the Great Step Pyramid of King Djoser (2600 BC)in Saqqara, Egypt, has stood proud and omnipotent. As if bowing in front of it in tribute, defying the barren Sahara Desert lies our own lush green Oasis shrouded in this 4600 year old mystic setting. On Domaine Horus all phases of production of our Extra Virgin Olive Oils, including pressing are on location. The quality hand picked olives used to create these oils are from Olive Groves that have been blessed by the rays of the ancient Sun God Ra for over 300 days of the year. The olive trees are irrigated with water drawn from our very own
crystal pure well 80 Ft./24 Meters deep below the surface. The Horus Oasis with it's abundance of chemical-free water and sunshine are generous gifts entrusted and bestowed upon us by Nature. Responsible management will ensure these gifts remain pollution free in their original "gift wrapping" since they are our "raison d'être" and consequently a most natural cause and effect of PHARAOHS PRIVATE RESERVE ™ olive oils, giving them that subtle Oasis fresh identifying taste (in French "le gout du terroir").

CHARACTERISTICS

  With the first taste, the taste buds become cognizant to a "Grand Cru Olive Oil". In the same instance, after a sweetish start they find the oil to explode with flavours of tropical-like fruits and end leaving the back of the throat with a pleasant cool minty-like feeling.
• Aroma
  A pleasant aroma evoking dawn fresh vegetation coming through a background of incense and spice.

  Golden with a greenish tint
• Appearance
  Smokey-unfiltered.
• Uses
  Enhances the taste of salads, vegetables, dipping oils, grilled fish, pasta, pizza, chicken or meat.

  Beautiful 750mL hand made Obelisk designed bottle making it a "smash hit" as a GIFT year round. Each bottle is gift wrapped in a special FREE hand made basket made of thatched palm leaves (100% biodegradable and Earth Friendly). These baskets are made on location by our own artisans.

A portion of the proceeds generated from our extra virgin olive oil help support a very worthy charitable non-profit organization.

NURTURING NATURE
ON THE HORUS OASIS

PHARAOH'S PRIVATE RESERVE ™ are all "first cold pressed" oils, painstakingly hand crafted "the old world way" as a labor of love for Nature. Production is a three-step, all in-house, "Tree to Press to Bottling" operation. Olives are pressed within a few short hours of being picked, resulting in olive oils that are "earthy, fruity and unadulterated", permeating with the natural purity and "goodness of taste" created solely by Mother Earth. The Horus Oasis is one of the few bastions left on earth where the air is crisp and pollution free. We refuse to compromise this air quality for any reason. Strictly an environmental choice, we use a "fleet" of non-mechanical carriers for transporting the olives to the press. These olives are transported in saddle sacks that are hand made, knotted and woven with palm tree ropes, a technique handed down through generations for over 4500 years. We use ''Earth Friendly'' materials in all production stages and go as far as hand sealing our bottles with cork and old fashioned beeswax. All our olive oil by-products are recycled and used on Domaine Horus as compost, fodder, or fuel. Our avid determination is that the Horus Oasis with all it's elements be protected and remain free of contamination at all costs. It is our commitment to our customers guaranteeing them the purity and freshness of our products.
